TEMSA Carbide division starts operations of pressing and sintering tungsten carbide in its new facility in Barcelona
Along with the other tooling divisions, TEMSA Carbide has started operations of carbide sintering to add new technology and fine-tune the just-in-time delivery in the market of carbide. In the new facility 2 new presses of 200Tn and 60Tn each have been acquired to cope with the complete range of dimensions, as well as SinterHIP technology, that allows us to improve the quality of our products with low Cobalt content (6-12%).
A process lead time of 2 days is achieved thanks to a continuous process of dewaxing and sintering, allowing us to offer in the market a delivery term of 5 working days. Thanks to a cooperation framework with Boehlerit and the CEIT Technological institute in San Sebastian, TEMSA is in the position of developing ad hoc grades with a perfectly adapted process and a second-to-none quality.
The long term strategy of TEMSA Metallurgical Group was aimed to integrate the supply chain into the added value chain. And the objectives of this integration were none other than assuring the excellency in customer service and securing the capacity of innovation and developing of specific products for the wear resistance market in general, and the cold forming sector in particular.
